Currently I live and work in Bozeman with offices located in Bozeman and Livingston. My private practice serves youth, adolescents, and adults. When clinically indicated, I also work with couples and families. A large portion of my work is with youth, ages 5 through 10, and adolescents. As my practice has grown, adults now constitute roughly half of my case load.

I was born and raised in the Boston area. I attended undergraduate studies at Drew University where I majored in Christian theology and comparative religions and minored in philosophy. Following an eighteen year career on Cape Cod as a custom home builder, I returned to the academic world and earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA.

Following graduation, I was invited to join New Bedford Child and Family Services, an inner city non-profit agency providing counseling and therapeutic services to a diverse multi-cultural population. While in New Bedford I was asked to join their ADHD Team - an advanced group consisting of clinical and medical experts who provided education, outreach, diagnosis, and treatment for ADHD issues.

While working in New Bedford I was also asked to join a new forensic project dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of children who had been physically and/or sexually abused. In 1996 I moved to Bozeman to assume the position of Clinical Director of AWARE Inc. services in Bozeman. This meant that I was the director of two group home treatment programs for severally emotionally disturbed adolescents. These two programs took in very difficult adolescents, provided placement, and treatment in an effort to integrate these young men back into the community.

Twelve years ago, I began the study and practice of psychoanalysis at The Northern Rockies Psychoanalytic Institute. In May of 2011, I was awarded certification designating that I have completed the extensive requirements of psychoanalytic training. This twelve year project certifies that I have completed this most extensive clinical training program and am trained and prepared to engage in this specialized treatment technique. For the past seven years, I have focused on my private practice. I continue to focus on the treatment of youth and adolescents and have an ongoing interest in working with adults and couples. In my private practice I provide counseling, therapy, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis.

My practice is focused on providing clinical treatment for psychological maladies. My treatment approach allows for the effective engagement of a wide variety of conditions, including but not limited to: personality difficulties, depression, bi-polar, psychotic states, autistic spectrum conditions, and trauma (PTSD).
